The chat box in the game was now active.

The screen flickered neon pink and toxic green. "GTA GEOGUESSR UNBLOCKED," the tab read. Below it, a grainy, first-person view of a stained alleyway. A flickering streetlamp. A dumpster on fire.

The camera panned. There, at the end of the hall, was a figure. It wore his face. Not a mask— his face, slightly younger, with his old hoodie and the crooked smile he’d forgotten how to make. The figure waved. Then it pointed down at the keyboard.

And somewhere, deep in the building, a dumpster caught fire.
