And you have just stepped through.

You remove the shard. The turtle stirs. Its eye—ancient as the ocean—opens and meets yours. A low rumble shakes the island, but it is not an earthquake. It is a thank you . The island shifts. New beaches emerge. A channel opens to the open sea. The turtle begins to swim, carrying the island—and you—toward a chain of isles you’ve never seen. journey 1 the mysterious island
