1. What is a Logic Probe? A logic probe is a handheld, pen-like electronic test instrument used to diagnose and troubleshoot digital circuits. Unlike a multimeter (which shows a numerical voltage), a logic probe displays the logic state of a circuit node—typically High (1) , Low (0) , or a pulsing signal .
