Introduction The Punjabi film industry, colloquially known as Pollywood, has experienced exponential growth since the early 2010s, producing high-budget films with international appeal. However, this growth has been paralleled by the rise of unauthorized digital distribution platforms. Among them, “OkJatt” emerged as one of the most visited pirate websites for Punjabi, Hindi, and dubbed Hollywood movies (Kaur & Singh, 2021).
