⚡ 1G (Rolled): Flat. Easy mode. ⚡ 2G (Horizontal fixed): Wall welding. ⚡ 5G (Vertical fixed): The "Christmas tree" weave. ⚡ 6G (Inclined 45°): The destroyer of egos.

In rolled welding (1G), gravity helps you. In position welding (5G, 6G, 2G), gravity is your enemy. Here is how the variables change: ⚡ 5G (Vertical fixed): The "Christmas tree" weave

The 4 main positions you need to know: 🔹 Pipe rotates. Axis is horizontal. Easiest. 🔹 2G (Horizontal Fixed): Pipe is horizontal, but you cannot roll it. Weld axis is vertical. Tricky puddle control. 🔹 5G (Vertical Fixed): Pipe is vertical. You weld around the circumference horizontally. Requires stepping techniques. 🔹 6G (Inclined – 45°): The gold standard certification. Pipe is fixed at 45°. Combines overhead, vertical, and flat welding.
