They run the school’s underground drug network. Cane, the muscle, shoves Tariq: “Your father’s empire fell. We need you to move weight for us.” Tariq refuses. Cane: “Then we tell the cops you’re still dealing.”
Monet Tejada (icy queen, ruthless) meets Tariq in a diner. She thanks him for protecting her product. “You’re not your father. You’re smarter. But smart doesn’t matter if you’re soft.” She offers him a choice: run the Tejada campus operation or watch Tasha go to prison for Ghost’s murder (Monet has evidence Tasha did it).
