Leo stared at the blinking cursor. All the blocked things in the world—the lost forums, the silenced voices, the strange corners of knowledge that ShieldGuard labeled “unproductive.” This thing, this digital ghost, had been eating them.

The screen went white. Then it split into a thousand thumbnails—every blocked site, every buried page, every banned conversation from the past three years. A library of the forbidden, all of it suddenly, breathtakingly visible.

Behind him, Maya slid into the next chair. She didn’t ask what he was doing. She just glanced at his screen, then at the door. “Tried the proxy list?”

“So we spoof the library?”

Maya’s hand hovered over the eject button. “It’s a worm. It’s been riding ShieldGuard’s filters for months, feeding on restricted packets. It thinks we’re a door.”

He typed: Show me.
