The “minor landslide” in the title isn’t metaphorical. Meemaw’s illegal gambling shed (sorry, “video bingo parlor”) literally slides down a hill during a rainstorm. Dale tries to fix it with a tractor. It ends exactly how you’d expect. Dale covered in mud. Meemaw yelling. Pure physical comedy gold. Verdict: 8.5/10 This episode works because it splits the difference. The Sheldon/Sturgis scenes are nerdy and pretentious (in a fun way). The Missy/Georgie scenes are heartfelt. And the Meemaw/Dale disaster is pure slapstick.
Missy and Georgie steal the show. Missy, feeling invisible after the family’s laser focus on Sheldon’s German trip, goes rogue. Not “steal a car” rogue, but “skip school to sit at a diner and drink chocolate milk” rogue. Georgie finds her and—surprisingly—gives the most mature advice he’s ever given. It’s sweet, awkward, and feels real. young sheldon s06e18 xvid
Young Sheldon is getting dangerously good at balancing family drama and absurdity. Plus, a muddy Dale is a funny Dale. Did you grab the XviD release? Notice any weird artifacts during the landslide scene? Drop a comment below. The “minor landslide” in the title isn’t metaphorical
